We enjoyed a day full of festivities yesterday including trick or treating at Dad's work and a neighborhood block party! It was so much fun to watch the kids enjoying the holiday! We are gearing up for the big evening of trick or treating tonight! We are keeping our fingers crossed that we don't freeze and will eat lots of candy to keep that sugar high to keep us warm!
Ya, I attempted orange pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. They didn't turn out that great but they were edible and Jack thought it was pretty neat!

Halloween Partying
We had our annual Halloween party at my mom's house this weekend. We had a great time decorating and making tons of yummy treats for the party. Jack could hardly wait all day for the party to start so he could put on his costume. As always it was a success although lots of people couldn't make it this year. Jack had a great time doing the limbo, eating donuts on a string, dancing to the monster mash, and trying to scare his grandma with a snake! We had a great time and can't wait until next years party!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time at the patch trying to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Jack had a VERY hard time deciding and finally picked the perfect one. He kept wandering around the patch just saying "lots, lots!" We had a great time and had an even better time back at Grandma's carving the pumpkins and toasting the seeds!

Another Photo Shoot
My friend Aubrey took us out for a quick photo shoot yesterday and I think we got some great ones! Here is just a preview... Thanks Aubrey!
He looks like he is loving her but he is actually trying to push her off the ledge! Poor Ella!

Bowling
Last week the whole Paxman clan got together for a night of bowling. Jack was excited to go all day long because he had gotten a bowling set from Emma for his birthday so he knows what bowling is all about! He had a great time although it was a little rough waiting for his turn each round! He soon found it was much funner to hang on the little thing that helps you bowl instead of actually using it! And the best part of the night is that for once I finally didn't have the lowest score! Thanks Nate for taking one for the team!

Ella loves hanging out with the girls and I think they might love her too!

Thanks for the pictures Lisa... I totally stole all of them!

My Little Pumpkins
Ryan surprised Jack one night after work and brought home a pumpkin to carve. Jack could hardly stand the wait until after dinner to get started. Ryan and Jack got busy carving the pumpkin and Jack dug right in pulling the guts out and saying "slimy" with each handful! He has decided he isn't so scared of Halloween and loves it when we take him all around the neighborhood at night to look at everybody's "spookies" that they have on their porches. He also understands a little now and when we say "what are we going to do when we wear our costume" he replies with "knock knock... treat!"
And she's just cute and was being festive wearing her dad's hunting hat!

Brotherly Love
I was upstairs working on my homework and I heard Jack go down and start playing with Ella in her swing so I snuck down and recorded them without him knowing! It was too cute...It lasted a few minutes until Ella took a play apple to the forehead and then it was all down hill from there!
It's kind of long ....

Take Me Out to The Ballgame
Monday nights this summer have been spent at the baseball field watching Ryan and Cory play baseball. Jack loves going to the games and it's usually a pretty good threat that we won't go to get him to behave most of the day! The whole family shows up to be the cheerleaders for the team and Jack loves getting all the attention from everyone! The Trunk Monkey team has done great and won their championship games last week so it looks like we will have a couple more Monday nights at the field this season while they finish the fight for the championship!
Jack gets thoroughly filthy while at the games. I'm sure he probably eats a pound of dirt while we are there.
One of his favorite parts... playing in the bushes! He never actually watches any of the game.

Good luck kisses before the game....

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jay
Last weekend when we were in Idaho we got there just in time to celebrate Grandpa's 82nd birthday! Grandma Dorothy had mad a delicious cake and Jack as always was super excited about somebody getting to blow the candles. My cousin Kenna's kids were there and they all loved that Grandpa got SOOOO MANY candles on his cake! Luckily the smoke detectors didn't go off and the kids helped Grandpa Jay blow out all those candles!
