Night Out Bowling

I think Jack inherited his bowling skills from his mom!

Ryan's family called and invited us to go bowling and since we haven't been in forever we were excited to go. We decided to make it a date and went to Cafe Rio for dinner on the way and it was delicious! We got to the bowling alley and got started playing right away. Luckily Grandma Annette didn't want to bowl so Jack kept her busy playing video games and running all over the place. Unfortunately I am probably the worst bowler in the world and we got stuck playing with Jon and Julie who bowl really well and made me look even worse! Thanks guys! :) Just kidding- we had a great time and can't wait to do something with everyone again!

Jen and Nate enjoying a little greasy bowling alley food and enjoying the game!

Jon patiently waiting for his next turn to throw a strike! Notice Jack in the background trying to get all the bowling balls down.

Way to go Ry - Look at that form! Just for the record he didn't beat me by too much!Grandma Annette, Jack and Aunt Jen.

Don't you just love Cory's "i'm so excited to be hanging out with my family" face!

Oops!

Just in case anyone was wondering this is what your dryer will look like after you accidently dry a pen and it explodes. And please ignore our new "ink spotty" fashion trend since a whole dryer load of our wardrobes are now sporting it!

Halloween Party

This last weekend we headed to Idaho for my Mom's annual Halloween party. I dressed as Snow White and Jack and Ryan were my dwarfs. It is always a ton of fun and all the kids look forward to it every year. Jack was scared to go into the party because it was all decorated and he is a little - okay a lot afraid of Halloween. Luckily once all of the kids were there he wasn't scared anymore. Several times I found him over in the corner with the big boys playing and eating. I'm not sure how much candy or dirt he inhaled during the evening but he was having a great time. One of the games was that whenever the song "The Monster Mash" would come on everyone would have to get up and dance for a prize. During one of the songs Jack was just walking all around until he noticed everyone was dancing and he started busting out a move. It was too cute. Also as I was trying to play a game with the kids I was telling them to all sit down and scoot back from the candy bucket so we could play the game. I looked down as I was yelling at all of them to stay out of the candy and there is Jack head first bent over digging through the candy bucket. All I could do was laugh! Unfortunately I didn't get too many pictures because somebody (we won't mention names - but it wasn't me!) forgot to bring extra batteries for the camera! My little Dwarfs. Don't look too hard at their costumes. They were made the night before the party out of only fabric and safety pins! Perhaps I should invest in a sewing machine before next Halloween!

Jack and Taylor just hanging out at the party! The little stinker wouldn't keep his hat on!

All of Rosie's grandkids and kids (plus 2 extra)!

JACK O' Lantern Time

Tonight we decided we had better carve out our Jack o' Lantern. Halloween will be here before we know it! Jack wasn't all that interested except for when it came time to play in all the pumpkin goo we had cleaned out! Jack sure thought it was funny when Ryan tried to stick him into the pumpkin, luckily Jack's big head didn't even get close to fitting!

Jack and Daddy taking a break and posing for the camera. My sweet little monster!

Ryan was angry because he thought I cut the hole on the top too small.
Jack was more interested in his balloon that in the pumpkin carving.

Since Jack wasn't interested in our pumpkin carving adventure we had to took a picture of ourselves enjoying it! The finished product. He really didn't like it when we turned out the lights and lit the "spooky" up!

Barnyard BOO

Today we decided to venture out to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. When we got there we were surprised to find out that they were celebrating Barnyard Boo today. This meant a ton of people there but also lots of fun things to do! We started off with getting all of their faces painted. Jack surprisingly sat very still and let the lady paint his face this time! They all looked so cute with their faces painted but not surprisingly it wasn't long before Jack had eaten, smeared with a little dirt and ruined most of his painting. But oh well it was cute while it lasted! They all loved going on the wagon ride with the horses and I think their favorite part could have been lunch time. The little chubbies inhaled almost everything we put in front of them! Rylee and Jack took a spin on the horses and Jack loved that as usual. They had a lot of fun but by the time we were leaving Jack was melting. We didn't even get a block down the road before he was fast asleep! It was such a beautiful fall day and I'm glad we got to have a little bit more fun outside with our friends before it gets too cold!

Jack and the clown who made him a cool balloon sword.
Right before I had to confiscate Jack's sword because he wouldn't quit biting it!
Olivia and Jack enjoying a little lunch!
He loves riding the horses and kept trying to butt in line by going under the fence!
He sure was tuckered out as soon as we got in the car!

Being such a big boy while getting his face painted. Or maybe he was only being nice because this time he was strapped in his stroller!
He isn't one bit afraid of any of the animals and really gets a thrill from sticking his fingers up their noses.

Rylee and Jack being forced to pose together by the cow! All the little monsters on the wagon ride. Avery, Olivia, Rylee and Jack

Jack's getting a SISTER!

Last night we went in for another ultrasound and she is definately still looking like a girl! I'm so excited! I can only imagine what kind of mischief her and big brother Jack will get into together! She was busy waving to us and was curled into the tightest little ball. She was actually kicking her forehead with her feet - How comfortable could that be? Right as we were ready to be done with the ultrasound, she yawned. It was so cool that you could actually see her yawning. Apparently she was bored with us and wanted us to leave her alone. Okay enough with all the details, the important thing is that it's a GIRL!

Work it baby............

Tonight we ventured out on our bikes for probably one of our last rides of the season. I was freezing by the time we got home! I took my camera along so we tried to catch a few cute pictures of the little man. He is so not cooperative when I try to make him be my little model. Oh well, I think we got a few good ones and I will always be able to look back and remember this photo shoot and what a little stinker he was. He did however LOVE throwing rocks into the pond with his dad. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful view out our back windows and to have such a great place to go ride bikes and play right behind our house!

And here is exactly why it is so hard to get a good picture:

We've got action down there.

A couple of days ago I thought I felt the baby moving but I wasn't sure. Today I am definately sure that the baby is moving all around. I was sitting here reading some crock pot recipes and getting hungry when I felt it and I continued to feel it for several minutes! I love when I can actually start feeling the baby squirming because it makes me feel reassured that they are doing okay!

We are going back for a second look tomorrow to see if she's still a girl! Keep your fingers crossed!
And not to leave out my cute little Jackers on this post, but I was about ready to send him to the orphanage by 10 am this morning. Ugggh.... I dressed him in a shirt that said "mommy's little monster" today and I guess he felt like he had to live up to it! We won't be wearing that shirt again anytime soon ...... just in case!

A Boy's Best Friend

This is actually a couple of weeks old but I loved it and haven't gotten around to posting it. I took Jack and Pax on a walk and Jack insisted on hanging on to the leash. Luckily Pax was very patient with him and let him THINK he was in charge.

I Got Tagged.............Thanks Gina!

Here are the rules:
Link to the person who tagged you
Post the rules on your blog
Write six random things about yourself
Tag six-ish people at the end of your post
Let each person know he/she has been tagged
Let the tagger know when your entry is up

1. My Mom is my best friend and I can tell her anything. Ryan says we are still attached at the umbilical cord.
2. I hate sleeping alone but Ryan can't touch me when I sleep or breath on me. This is intensified 100% when I'm pregnant. I have to put a barrier of blankets up so no breath accidently gets on me.
3. I don't like to eat red meat. I don't even like to buy it at the grocery store. Often I get big plans of buying a roast and cooking it, but at the store I just get freaked out and can't even make myself buy the meat.
4. I LOVE the holidays and always make fun plans for all of them, but by the time they get here I'm usually overly stressed out and make myself sick and don't even enjoy them.
5. I LOVE to watch reality tv much to Ryan's dismay. I'm still hooked on Survivor, America's Next Top Model, The Hills and The Amazing Race just to name a few. Thank heavens for Tivo so I can speed through all of them.
6. Hmmm....it's hard to come up with 6 things.... okay here's one more. When I was little I used to have baby lambs as pets and one day my weenie dog and my lamb ran away. They were gone for hours together and right before dark they came home. Random I know but luckily we didn't end up with any weenie lamb babies. (what else could they have been up to for 8 hours?)

I tag: Amber, Lynly, Amelia, Ainslee, Emily, Kenna

Hit the nail on the head......

I saw this on a friend's blog from high school and couldn't help but to post it. Even after 4 years Ryan still hasn't caught on to the meaning of these words so hopefully this will help you out baby!

1-Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2-Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. 'Five minutes' is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3-Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with 'nothing' usually end in 'fine'.
4- Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5- Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about 'nothing'. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of 'nothing'.)
6- That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. 'That's okay' means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7-Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'whatever').
8-Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying 'SCREW YOU'!
9-Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

I think the following picture fits perfectly with this post. Whatever he was doing he thinks is so funny and meanwhile I'm contemplating how i'm going to dispose of his body after I kill him!

But never fear.... moments later I loved him again!

Oh ya by the way..... these pictures were taken not long after we were married! I can't believe how young Ryan looks!

Brrrr.... it's cold outside!

Yesterday was FREEZING cold at our house but it didn 't stop all the kids from wanting to play outside. My sister was over with her little ones and Avery and Gavin were here to visit too. Jack and Avery wanted to play outside with the big kids so we bundled them all up and let them have at it! Avery didn't bring a jacket so she had to borrow Jack's cool Halloween skeleton (oh ya baby... it even glows in the dark) one and a cool camo bomber hat! I'm pretty sure her mother would have croaked at her outfit if she would have been here but Avery had a great time! After these pictures i'm positive Mistie will never send Avery without her own jacket again! After they were sufficiently frozen we let them all back in for some delicious homemade taco soup! We are pretty sure we are not ready for winter to be here because I don't know what we are going to do cooped up in the house all day long!

I love this picture of Jack and Avery. They are totally staring each other down! I'm pretty sure Jack wanted to beat her up for touching his tractor! And ya that is the tag still hanging off the top of Avery's cool camo hat!
After Jack came inside Daddy had to snuggle him up because he was literally freezing cold. I know I may be a bad mother but you TRY to tell a STUBBORN one year old he can't play outside with the other kids because it's cold!

Thankful Thursdays

Some person has been giving me guff about forgetting about Thankful Thursday. And just for her information.... Thursday wasn't over yet so here goes. Today i'm thankful that I finally got a little bit of energy back. This pregnancy has sucked every ounce out of me. Today though I finally felt like I could function without a nap and I actually got the house completely clean. Hopefully I will continue on with the burst of energy but if not I guess I will just be thankful that I had some today and was able to clean my house!
I know this picture has nothing to do with my post but I just want to remind everyone that this is the reason my house is filthy everyday. Yes he is eating marshmallows out of tupperware on the floor with a salad serving fork. And yes he pretty much gets whatever he wants!
