Jack with Aunt Julie
This dumb dog wore his birthday hat the entire time he was there.... all while fetching balls and running all around! It was too cute!
Love this picture of Jack and Uncle Cory!

Uncle Nate taught Jack this lovely trick of scrunching his face all together when I try and take a picture. Nate is always teaching him new great tricks.... Don't worry Nate and Jen.... when you have kids we will return the favor!!:)
Yesterday was Grandma Nette's 50th birthday and it was also baseball night. Ryan, Uncle Cory and Uncle Nate all play on the team so it's always a family affair to go and watch them play. The girls planned a little party at the ballpark and we had pizza and ice cream while watching the boys play. My kids LOVE going to the ballpark and I am so thankful for all the help everyone gives me with the kids while we are there. I couldn't do it without you! Happy Birthday Annette... thanks for all you do for us!

Nantucket 2010

We just got home from an AAAAAMMMMMMMAAAAZZZZIIIIINNNNGGGG vacation and I took way too many pictures so prepare for an overload. Ella, Ryan and I headed out on May
19th and flew into Philadelphia then drove to Massachusetts. Jack stayed home with Grandma Nette and we are sooooo appreciative that she let him spend so much time with her. Grandma Rosie was able to come for a few days too so Jack was on his own special "Grandma" vacation which he absolutely loved too. We would have loved to take him with us and he would have had a great time but we were hoping for a stress free time and we got just that. Ella even was nice and let us sleep in past 9 am almost every day! She did however get the stomach flu one of the days which was not enjoyable but we survived! Jack also got the same flu while home with Grandma.... luckily I didn't get it! We were able to stay with my great friends Mike and Christie and had such a good time with them. They are so nice to us and gave us a car to use for the week and let us totally invade their house. Ella had a wonderful time playing with their kids Nicholas and Claire and I don't think she wanted to ever come back home. She enjoyed being an only child and getting ALL the attention... especially from her dad! Words cannot begin to describe how wonderful it was to spend some time with Ryan (kinda) alone and to just have fun with each other. It was much needed and definately appreciated! Although we had a great time it was wonderful to get back home to our little man who we missed oh so much!

Ryan got to try a wide variety of new foods while we were there and he thought that was pretty fun. He tried escargot (SNAILS!), lobster, raw clams, fried clams, shrimp nachos and he had a Nantucket Fluke (fish)! I'm pretty sure he will avoid the clams in the future but he had fun giving them a try. Claire who is 4 showed him how eating clams was done and she ate sooooo many of them complete with lemon juice and hot sauce! She was a trooper!

My Princess...
So I guess I thought perhaps I would get a girly girl who was afraid of a little dirt and mud.... guess I was wrong!
A couple of weekends ago we were able to get a few friends from high school together for a picnic. It was fun to see everyone again and to see how much all their kids grow in a year!
Jack was the only little boy there..... but don't worry... he was smooth with all the little ladies!

What the Hail?
It's May 10th and it looks like this outside?
Yes, those are our poor tomato plants that when it began to hail I hurried out to protect with a box! Seriously, joke's over.... when is it going to be summer?

Happy Mother's Day

Once again I was completely blessed on Mother's Day and got to spend it with everyone that I love. My mom was here for the weekend so we got to spend a lot of time together and we had so much fun. We were also able to attend get togethers with both families and my kids were able to see both Grandma's that they love so much. Ryan also made my day by getting me a beautiful floral arrangement and a cute card he and Jack made together. I couldn't be any luckier than I am. I have a great husband, wonderful children and two Mom's that are better than I could have ever asked for. My kids are also so lucky to have these two wonderful women as their Grandmas in their lives to love them and spoil them so much! I love being a mom to my two beautiful children although somedays they drive me a little crazy. I am so lucky to get to spend everyday with them and to have them teach me all the wonderful things that they do. The most important thing that my little monsters have taught me is patience! I'm still working on that one but they always give me lots of ways each day to practice on this one! :)
I hope I can be just as good as a mother to my children as the wonderful mothers that Ryan and I have!

Ridiculous

Can I just say... this weather is ridiculous! May 4th and it is so cold outside, windy and miserable! We went to Idaho last weekend and I packed spring jackets but no winter coats, so needless to say an hour after we got there I headed into the DI to buy winter coats for the kids. I did however stop at JcPenney's first and thought I could just buy a bigger size and use it for next year too but all I could find there was shorts and swimsuits! Duh, it is May... what was I thinking?? There was not a winter coat to be found in that whole store! And like a dope I forgot to take my camera and there were some great moments I should have had a picture of so I'm just going to have to write about them instead.
Friday we went to school with my mom and the kids have such a great time there. They were scheduled for a field trip to Wal-Mart so Jack got to hop on the short bus with all of the kids and go to the field trip. Ella and I followed in the car but Jack was so brave and just hopped right on the bus and off he went. He is growing up too fast! At Wal-Mart they gave them aprons and name tags and took them back in those doors that Jack always wants to go into but I tell him that's just where the workers work. He was in heaven, especially when they started handing out cookies, donuts and balloons. They also gave them a ring in the shape of a chicken but when Jack tells you about his trip it sounds like he says he got a chicken wing. But no, they weren't walking around the store munching on fried chicken! Saturday started bright and early with Jack throwing up. He is very wasteful and my mom had just given him a whole bowl of mandarin oranges and cottage cheese and of course he took one bite and wanted to be on his way. She told him he had to take a few more bites so like the obedient boy he is, (you can all laugh here) he took his bite, threw up, but continued to chew the remainder of his food in his mouth because he doesn't ever disobey! She felt really bad afterward that she had made him eat his breakfast! And if you aren't completely grossed out... continue reading... about 20 minutes later we were sitting around talking and Jack started trying to look down the back of his pants and in his underwear. I was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" he matter of factly told me "Checking to see if my pooped!" Sure enough "my" had gotten diarhea and "my" had pooped himself! It was pretty funny despite the fact that he didn't feel good! Luckily he was feeling better by the end of the day but Sunday morning, right after breakfast Ella started the whole thing over again! So it was a fun filled weekend! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get it! Ella learned a few fun new tricks this weekend. She still can't walk but she can tell you "Shhh" complete with the finger up to her lips and she tells you "five" and sticks out her hand! So there is our weekend in a nutshell... good and bad...
In the middle picture she is telling you "five!"
