I love taking pictures of Jack Jack!

Jack and I went for a walk by the ponds at my house and it was so pretty I ran back home and got my camera! The little turkey wouldn't cooperate and only wanted to eat sticks when I wanted to take good pictures of him! I finally had a brilliant idea.... there were some long willow sticks lying right by us so I grabbed one and would gently tap him on the forehead to get him to look! I know I know.... child abuse.... but it worked like a charm! Here are some of our results......

Thanks Aunt Mari!

Aunt Mari sent Jack some hand me down toys and he LOVED them! She has twins (boy and a girl) so we get a good variety! He especially loved the Liger and the pink Unicorn (which his dady really loved:)! He spent all of Friday night playing with his new toys! Thanks again Aunt Mari and Uncle Trevor!

Look at that smile! He is just tickled about his new toys!

Our fun weekend!

Jack had such a fun weekend! Friday night Grandma Annette came over and brought us all dinner! Yum- We love Cafe Rio! Jack had so much fun playing with and being spoiled by Grandma and Aunt Julie! Grandma Rosie also came down to visit and play with us and we had such a good time! Saturday we had a little yard sale- okay a huge yard sale! Who would think 4 families could have that much junk! We actually made quite a bit of money and Jack and I are saving our share to go on a vacation! We don't know where we are going yet but it's sure to be fun! Ryan of course ditched us as soon as Rosie got to town to go shed hunting so we were on our own! We did a little shopping but mostly just played at home with Jack! Sunday Mistie and Avery came over for a little visit! We sat Jack and Avery down outside to play because it was a beautiful day and the neighbors cat came over to say hello. It might as well have been a tiger because Avery was scared to death and screaming bloody murder! Jack on the other hand was just doing the usually - trying to pull his tail when he walked by! What a little boy!

Right before Grandma Rosie left I said I wanted to take a picture of her and Jack together so she sat down by him and he turned grabbed her face and started kissing away! He is such a love bug - but watch out - when he decides he wants a
kiss he goes for it!

Looking back and scared for the future!

So I was looking at some pictures today from our wedding slideshow and trying to decide who Jack looked like. What funny looking little children Ryan and I were! Take a look and let me know what you think!

Sadly, this one is me- I look like a little boy!

This one is Ryan.

I bet you can't guess this one is Ryan too!

Yep me again.... Still looking like a boy! Finally at least my mom put a bonnet on my head!

Oh what I have to look forward to! Let's hope he doesn't eat dirt like his father! I'm also hoping he doesn't end up looking like either of these last 2 pictures!

MMMM.... my mom made delicious chocolate batter! MMMMM... raw eggs!

Buddies? Depends on the day!

Somedays Jack just loves Emma and others he can't stand her. Today was a good day and they were both playing so nicely together! Emma was quietly playing on the couch and I looked over and her baby doll was wearing Jack's helmet! She is so funny - she has never even questioned why he has to wear it or made any comments about the helmet at all. The first day we put it on him I knew for sure she would have a million questions but instead it was as if she didn't even notice it. I guess though that she silently has noticed and decided her baby had a flat head that needed fixed too! Today I had a dentist appointment and my sister Mandy's daughter Heather came over to babysit while I went. This was the first time somebody besides Grandma's or Aunt's have watched Jack and I was a little nervous. But my fears were relieved when I got to the dentist and there was a TV on the ceiling to watch a movie and the chair had back massagers! Who would have ever thought going to the dentist would be such a nice mini vacation. I actually can't wait to go back and get my cavity filled!

Blogging Slacker? Me?

So I've been accused of being a blogging slacker just because I haven't posted for a week! Occasionally I do have a life - okay who am I kidding - I've just been a slacker! Actually nothing very exciting has happened this week- we are still working on growing some teeth - It sure is hard work! My friend Melissa was going to come visit last Friday but got sick instead (hope you're feeling better) so Jack and I had nothing planned for the weekend so we packed up and went to my Mom's in Idaho. We had a fun time - Grandpa Lee took us on a Jeep trip in the freezing cold weather and my mom and I just played with Jack the rest of the time. It was fun- oh and I got my hair cut pretty short but I'm loving it! It is so nice to not be weighed down with all that hair! Oh and the other big news at our house is we FINALLY got a fence! I love it and love being able to kick the dog outside and not worry about him. I am so proud of Ry because he did such a good job on the fence and worked so hard on it! It was a big expense but I'm glad we splurged on it because it is so nice to have some privacy in our backyard! I love our neighbors but I really love being able to go out and feel like we have our own space. We are going to be spending a lot of summer days out there! No great pictures this week but here a few random ones!

For some reason the pictures wouldn't load today so all you get is some of Ry and Jack. They had to eat dinner on the living room floor because Ryan was afraid to miss a minute of the Jazz game! Notice Jack's bib is on backwards with the tag sticking up - only his Father wouldn't notice this when he was putting it on! :)

Let it snow - in April?

I can't believe it is the middle of April and it's snowing! Yesterday was such a nice day we pulled out our shorts and our sandals and did yard work and I even got a little bit of a sunburn. (Oh and Jack took his first big bite of grass!) And then today it is FREEZING cold and snowing! I just don't get it and I hate it! If this keeps up Jack will be wearing his new snowboots this summer!

We love snot!

Our poor little baby had quite the night last night! We think this teething business is for the birds and Jack wants to go back to being Mr. Gummer! After no naps at all yesterday we put him to bed exhausted at around 9 and thought he would have a great nights sleep. Boy were we wrong! He woke up at about 10:30 and from then it was on! He screamed bloody murder and the only time he was happy was when I was rocking him. I felt so bad for him because you could tell he didn't feel good and it was like he was asking me to fix it and I couldn't! At about 4 am I finally got him asleep in his bed and I went to sleep until Emma got here at 7:30. Jack slept for awhile longer and when I went to get him out of bed he had a surprise! His face was covered in dried up snot! Eww it was so gross... The poor thing had rubbed his nose and therefore spread the snot all over his face. It was such a great surprise- we love snot!

Rubber Ducky... You're the one!

So Jack really likes to take baths and I know we already have bath pictures on here but these were too cute to pass up! We were in a hurry last night to get him to bed so Ryan just threw him in the tub with me and I swear he fed him a jar full of sugar before putting him in the tub! He was so hyper - he couldn't sit still and splashed water EVERYWHERE all this while successfully holding his duck in his mouth the whole time! He is turning into such a wild child!
If you look really close at this one you can see a little white tooth poking up!

And I don't have any fun pictures from our shopping trip but a funny story. Jack, Avery, Mistie, and I decided on Monday that we were going to do a little shopping. We had lunch with Ry, Uncle Cory, and Grandpa Keldon really quick and then met Mistie in the Ikea parking lot. We decided we were going to take Mistie's car so I put Jack's carseat in and we were on our way. We weren't in the car but 20 seconds and Avery started talking which Jack didn't like one bit. Whenever she would cry or even make a sound he would scream bloody murder. Apparently he wasn't in the mood to put up with Avery that day! They also had their first little fight while we were out shopping. Mistie being the good mother she is let Avery hold a plastic bag of stuff she had bought at OshKosh. Jack decided he wanted to hold it because of course it made lots of good noise, so those two sat there and ripped it out of each others hands for a good 3 minutes before Avery finally gave up! I can only wait for the fist fights these two are going to have!

I'm officially old........

So I've decided that officially i'm getting old. For a long time I've been wanting a new vacuum and last night we went to target and bought one! It was a lot of money and who really wants to spend their extra cash on a vacuum? I finally broke down and just did it and i'm in LOVE with my new vacuum! Who would have ever thought that I would get so excited about my new toy and want to vacuum my floor every 20 minutes! It makes my carpet look so fresh and finally all the dog hair off the floor! (our old vacuum sucked - but not like a vacuum should!) So now that I am getting all excited about vacuums I feel like i'm turning into an OLD housewife and I need to get out more!

Attn Miss Tooth Fairy!

So big news at our house.... Jack has a tooth that's barely barely peeking through! We had started to think that perhaps Jack was going to remain a gummer forever! Sunday while he was chewing on Mandy's finger she felt something sharp and sure enough a tooth is on it's way! My poor little boy has been so exhausted the last few days and i'm thinking that growing teeth is hard work! The other night he was jumping away in his jumperoo and the next thing we know he is sound asleep! He has also been sleeping in until 9 am almost every morning! I am counting my blessings that he is a lazy bum because so am I- I love being able to sleep in. Well not that I get to sleep much after 6:30 when Ryan begins his lovely ritual of hitting the snooze button every 7 minutes when the alarm goes off! He has no problem going back to sleep after every snooze and doesn't hear it when it goes off again. Basically he gets punched every 7 minutes to turn off the alarm clock - but he must not mind because he does it every day!!! I love my husband :)

Jack fell asleep right next to me as I was posting this blog so I had to snap a picture! He loves snuggling with soft fuzzy blankets- I wonder where he gets that from? ;)

There were too many cute pictures..... here's more!

mmmmm..... Avery tastes like chicken!

Jack and Princess Emma!

Poor Jack, nobody wanted to sit by him and Avery and Rylee both ran away!

Can you believe Avery is older than Jack? What a midget and a monster!

Howdy do Emma Lou!

Wahooo.... We love the petting zoo!

Today we ventured out to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving point and had a blast! Luckily we all made it home with our fingers intact! Lynly and I being the good mothers we are were busy snapping pictures of our cute kids when Lynly noticed that Jack had stuck his fingers in the donkey's mouth! She kindly pulled them out and we had a good laugh - minutes later I noticed the big red sign stating: CAUTION I BITE! Needless to say the donkey must not have liked how Jack tasted because he luckily didn't take a big bite! The kids all loved feeding all the animals corn and Jack and Emma LOVED riding the horses! Jack was all smiles and blew spit bubbles the whole time he got to ride the horse. Looks like we are going to be spending lots of days at the petting zoo this summer because all the kids had such a fun time!

Jack loves hanging out with his girls!

Jack and Mom - Giddy Up!

Ride 'em cowboy!

Jack braving the killer donkey!

The day wasn't complete without a wet slobbery kiss with Rylee!

Happy Birthday to ?

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear ?, Happy Birthday to you!!

Can you guess who it is?

Today is Ryan's 27th birthday - man is he getting old!

Such a BIG helper!

Ryan and I decided we had better lower the railings on the crib before Jack escapes head first! He hasn't been able to pull himself up in his crib yet but, I'm afraid it's coming and we had better be prepared. Jack rolled right over to Ryan to see what he was doing and was such a good helper! Pax on the other had thought it was great that we had conveniently put the crib mattress on the floor for him to sleep on! What a spoiled dog! Needless to say even with all Jacks' help we succeded in getting the crib railing lowered. Bring it on monster boy! Whatcha doing Dad?
Don't worry Dad I'll hold the wrench for you!
Pax is dreaming of dog biscuits and chasing cats while Jack and Ry work!

See look at me... I'm getting so big!

Tagged

This picture is more like 8 years ago... but the closest one I've got!

10 YEARS AGO...Hmmm...That would make me 15. Cruising around in my Suzuki Swift cool as could be. I started dating Chant that summer.... no he was not gay, he just liked to sew.... Swimming in the canals everyday!! (I can't believe we did that Amelia- ewww the germs!)

FIVE PLACES I HAVE LIVED... Declo, Nantucket, Pocatello, West Jordan, Saratoga Springs

FIVE THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST...Start deep cleaning my house for Melissa's visit (we can't wait!) Buy Ryan a Birthday present. Make a dentist appointment. Unwrap Jack from the vacuum cord. (his new favorite toy) Mop the kitchen floor. (ugghh)

I ENJOY...Traveling, Jack sleeping through the night, Spending time with my family, When it's not hunting season!

THREE BAD HABITS...Preferring to spend time playing with Jack rather than cleaning house. Taking things too personally (Ryan says I have beaten kitty syndrome.) And being a chicken, I get really shy really easily and it takes me a while to let my true personality out.

5 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME... I have to have 4 pillows to myself to sleep. My favorite is a really old one that we call a flea bag! I love to shop but I hate to spend money. I have never been in a car wreck (KNOCK ON WOOD) I had the 4th highest GPA in my graduating class. (yeah I went to school with some real smart ones!)

5 JOBS I'VE HAD.....I worked during high school at an interior design company. I worked in Nantucket for 7 summers at a children's clothing store. I was a waitress for one day! I was a Nanny for several years. And most recently I'm a mom! (my favorite :)

I tag Amelia although I could probably fill this out for her!
