Happy Birthday to...

Kaden! We headed out to my brother's last night to celebrate Kaden's eighth birthday! He was born just days after I graduated from high school so it's always a great reminder of how old i'm really getting! Happy Birthday Kader... hope it's a good one!

And no post would be complete with out a picture of Jack! He sure loved playing with all the "big boy" toys at the party!

Lehi Round Up Days

Saturday we decided to venture out to the parade with our neighbor Emily and her little ones! Jack really enjoyed watching all of the floats and bands for about the first 30 minutes and then was totally over it - but we had a great time! It will be fun next year when Jack can actually chase after his own candy so we don't look like greedy candy hungry parents!

What's that smell?

So last night I was enjoying my bath when Ryan brings Jack in and says "smell his breath." It only took one or two whiffs to confirm that Jack had dog breath! While his lovely father was babysitting he managed to scarf down some kibbles n' bits! I know that I was so anxious for my sweet little baby to learn how to crawl but can I take it back? I miss my little boy who would be in the same spot five minutes after I sat him down! Now I spend my day literally chasing my little friend through the house saying "no no no no no!" Computer cords are his best friend and obviously he has a taste for puppy food too! Well at least that could cut down on our grocery bills since the dog and the CAT eat dog food and now Jack is joining them!

Mmmm... food.. nope just a sticker!

Nothing exciting has been happening at our place the last few days unless you count burning the toast and then dropping a glass jar of jam inches from your toe exciting. But since I don't all you get are some pictures of Jack! These were taken at my moms and the nametag sticker from Jen and Nates wedding was stuck on his diaper bag when we got there so we took the opportunity to stick it on his head! He's such a chunk.. he thinks everything is food, hence the second picture where he is trying to eat it!

Picnic!

Today we took Jack on his first real picnic! Mistie had sent us home with delicious chicken salad sandwiches from our party on Saturday, we packed them up and set out for a picnic! We went to a little pond over by Ryan's parents house and enjoyed the sun and the sandwiches! Jack had a great time crawling around... eating anything he could find off the ground.... and taking his daddy for a walk!

Babies and Bikinis

Saturday we loaded up Jack's pool for a pool party at Avery's! We lathered the little whities up with a lot of sunscreen and let them swim away! Avery of course the little monkey she is only swam for a second and then bolted but not my little Jacker man... he sat there and splashed almost every little drop out of his pool!

Being thrifty is NIFTY!

So I have been wanting for the last couple of months to buy a bike trailer for Jack. He loves to be outside and I thought it would be a fun thing for the whole family to do together. Only problems were that my bike was in Idaho and a bike trailer was expensive so I hadn't bought one yet! On Saturday I went to a few yard sales with my Mom and sister and what do you know I found the perfect bike and bike trailer! They both still had their tags on them and I got them both for $100.00... I was so excited! Needless to say we have spent the last few nights circling the block in our new ride. I can't wait to get our other bike from my moms so that we can all go for a long ride together! Jack loves his new toy and wears the same expression the entire time... what a cutie!

Here kitty kitty.....

Ryan's parents have a new little kitten and Jack enjoyed playing with it's toys just as much as the kitty did!

PETTING ZOO trip #2

Grandma Rosie and I took all the little ones to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point today and had a great time! Jack once again LOVED riding the horses and didn't want to get off! I decided to buy a season pass so that Jack and I can spend a lot of days at the farm this summer!

Bathing Beauties

Jack and his cousins Oakland and Emma spent the warm afternoon lounging out in his new swimming pool! Jack swam and swam until his lips were blue. It was a tight squeeze in his little pool but they sure had a good time!

Emma looks like she escaped from the looney bin! Look at that hair do!

Lagoon....Uggh!

My mom and the kids came down to go to Lagoon and everyone was so excited! (I didn't get to ride any rides last year because I was knocked up!) We arrived at the park an hour early because last year the line for the Wicked was too long and nobody got to ride it! We were determined to get to the ride before the lines got too long! We accomplished our task and we were one of the first few riders that day. Quickly after the first ride I discovered that I wasn't as young and chipper as I used to be! For the first time EVER I didn't feel so hot after riding an amusement park ride! So for the rest of the day I took it a little easy and picked carefully which rides I would be enjoying! Needless to say despite watching someone vomit on the Colossus right as we were getting on and trying to keep up with 3 kids we had a fun day! We opened the park and closed the park...It was a very long day but we had a lot of fun!

Slam Dunk

So we have been trying for a few weeks to show Jack how to play basketball and the first basket he made I actually caught on camera! Now that's luck and a little bit of patience!

Happy Late Father's Day Daddy!

We missed posting on Father's Day because we were in Idaho but we still wanted to take time to say how much we love and appreciate our Daddies! Jack and Ryan already have such a special bond and I can't wait to watch them grow together! He is such a great Dad and I am so happy that he is the one that I get to raise our kids with! I can only imagine how soon i'm going to get dumped so they can go hunting, fishing and camping together!

We also hope that our Dads had a special day too!

Fun at Grammy's!

Once again we had a very busy couple of days and didn't blog about it so here we go! Jack and I caught a ride to Idaho to spend a couple of days with my Mom! It has been so fun that my Mom has had the summer off from work and we have got to do so many things together! We went to a wedding on Saturday night and then spent the next few days enjoying the beautiful weather and taking pictures of Jack! Here are a few of the favorites!

What a helper!

So my son was being so quiet and nice the other day so I knew he had to be up to something. My suspicions were confirmed when I found him unpacking all our bags from our trip to Idaho. I suppose it was a good thing because I finally go everything put away thanks to my little Jackers!

I told you I was going to post lots of videos so I might as well post 2 in one day! This is Jack the other night at Ryan's company party thinking his Mom is hilarious when she turns into a pig!

Welcome to the Real World!

So today we got Digis high speed internet... No more Dial up! Can I say hallelujah it's about time! So now I can load videos and more pictures and I'm so excited! So here's the first one... Jack attempting to crawl with Ryan luring him with the remote! Apparently screaming helps you get going faster!

Oh the FUN we've had this week....

We've had a pretty busy week with not much time to blog about it so here goes:
We had a great time at Grandma Rosie's despite the fact that it was freezing cold in JUNE and all I had packed was summer clothes! We had to layer up the few pieces of semi warm clothes we had. But overall it was good to see all the Grandparents and cousins in Idaho!
Having suckers with Taylor - Boy was Jack one sticky mess - Who would give a sucker to a baby? Thanks Grandma Rosie!

Eating Cocoa Puffs and Cheerios with Colty!

We hurried home on Thursday just in time for our last appointment with Jacks helmet doctor. We are happy to report that Jack is officially done wearing his helmet. For the last month or so he has only been wearing it to bed but we are still happy to be done! His head grew 2.8 centimeters which doesn't sound like a lot... but in helmet talk it is great! The doctor said the most he can ever get is 3.o centimeters and we could keep trying for more but we are satisfied with how he looks and we are just happy to be done with it!
After the appointment we scurried over to Ryan's company's 10th anniversary celebration. The theme was the Academy Awards so they had a red carpet entrance and we picked out our famous actor names. It was a lot of fun and a great excuse for Jack to get a second use out of his suit from the wedding. He even managed to snag one of the best dressed awards and received a prize. What a handsome little fellow he was!

So that is our wrap up of our crazy week which I'm sure our lives are just going to get crazier and crazier as the summer goes on! Speaking of summer I love the signs that it is here... Here are just a few!

Today after a delicious dinner at the Paxmans we all headed out to enjoy the sun and play a little baseball. Mostly I just tried to discourage Jack from eating grass but everyone else had a great time! After they were done Jack and I managed to swing at a few and I think we might have a little slugger on our hands! Notice the snow still on the mountains in JUNE!
