Declo Days

We were happy to be in my hometown for the annual Declo Days Celebration. This year was the 100th celebration and I think everyone and their dog came out to celebrate. For such a little town there were so many people there! Jack loved the parade and it was great because it was short enough that it held his attention and he loved getting all the candy. He got enough candy to last him a year! He was excited to see his Grandpa Randy driving the police car in the parade and to see all of the horses. After the parade we headed over to the park but there were so many people there that we didn't stay long. We did manage to score a funnel cake and a balloon snake so we considered the day a success!

Waiting for more candy to be thrown.

Ainslee, Great Grandma Myrna, Grandma Rosie, Jack and Ella.

Checking out his loot!

I swear she really did like the parade.

Okay she liked it more when her eyes were closed!
Later that afternoon we had a small get together of friends from high school and college and their kids. It was fun to catch up and we promised we were going to get together again soon! I can't believe that next year we will be riding in the parade celebrating our ten year high school reunion!

Not the best picture but what can you expect from a 6 year old photographer!
