Every year Ryan's mom sends us with all the fun candy to make countdown chains. We invited my friend Emily and her kids over and Mistie and Avery to make one with us. We had fun admist all our little "helpers" trying to make the chains. Between Jack stepping on and squishing candy in the chain and Avery stealing the basket with all the ribbon it was quite the adventure. Luckily most of the little ones headed outside to play because it was a warm December day so we were able to finish our project. Thanks for joining us Mistie, Emily and kids, we hope you have fun time counting down to Christmas!

Okie just sat in the highchair and consumed mass amounts of Nila wafers. But he was happy so I let him!
Jack couldn 't possibly wait to eat just one a day. He dug right in through the saran wrap and chomped him down some chocolate!

I'm thankful that I get to wake up to these faces every morning!
I'm thankful that although we may not have an abundance of money we do have enough to obtain what we need. We have food to feed our family and a warm place to live. Some days I need to be more thankful for these little things that I take for granted!
I'm also thankful that if you want to put your Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving.......you can. I also can't forget to mention how thankful I am that it's a plastic one that already has the lights in it that you just snap together and plug in! How convenient is that? I can't not mention how thankful I am for self timers. We would never have any family photos without them!
We are also thankful that if you want to decorate the Christmas tree with no pants on.... you can... Don't worry- Jack was the only one with no pants on!

Jack had a great Halloween this year and it was so fun celebrating it with him. We started out the festivities with a party at Ryan's work. Jack wasn't sure what to think of all of the employees that were dressed up but he quickly got over and got on his merry way of draining the water cooler and climbing the stairs. We enjoyed a quick little lunch and lots of great treats and then we ran home for a little nap! When Ryan got home we headed out to let Jack experience Trick or Treating. We figured we would go to the neighbors right next to us and call it good but Jack had other plans. He waddled his padded little dragon suit a good couple of blocks climbing up to everyone's doorstep to claim his treat. He kind of misunderstood the concept though and couldn't understand why I had to drag him out of their houses when he tried to invite himself in. Once he threw his fit on pretty much every neighbors doorstep he pulled himself back together and waddled to the next house. At every house that had suckers that's what he would choose and he would then put it directly into his mouth- wrapper and all. He had such a fun time and it was so fun to watch him "kinda" catch onto the point of trick or treating!
